SSH Access

Secure Shell Handler is a command-line interface to the server, the majority of tasks possible through SSH are replicated by cPanel so using it is only recommended for advanced users. We provide Jail Shell access on all accounts, Jail Shell provides SSH access that is limited to your home directory.

Windows users will need to download an SSH client such as PuTTY. Mac users can use Terminal. To connect, use the following information:

Host Name: yourdomain.com (Use your actual domain name)
Username: cPanel Username
Password: cPanel Password

The following illustrations use PuTTY and the domain name kipling.me.uk as an example:

Enter cPanel Username and press Enter:
Enter

Enter cPanel Password and press Enter:
Enter
